PageRank Completely Updated

Monday, April 30th, 2007

PageRank 4The Google Toolbar is now showing that this Blog has a PageRank of 4! Which means my PageRank Update has gone live through all (or most) of Google’s Datacenter’s IP Addresses, as you can clearly see here. This is sweet!

PageRank 3My new site-in-the-works, LiveMP.Net, got a PageRank of 3 during the update. Which is quite strange, since there’s really nothing on it yet… But, as you can see here, all but 1 of Google’s Datacenter’s IP Addresses has the site marked with a PageRank of 3. Sweet, but odd. ๐Ÿ˜›

AGLOCO, Get Paid For Internet Surfing

Monday, April 30th, 2007

AGLOCO, which stands for A Global Community, is a company that pays you to surf the Internet. Which I’m sure is a dream for all of us, to be paid to just surf around how you want.

How does it work? Well, first of all, after signing up, you download the Viewbar, install it, enter your ID and Password and continue on with your surfing. That’s basically it, but I’ll elaborate a bit on it.

So, what you do is become a member. Which is extremely easy. Just click here and enter your details.

Then, start inviting your friends to sign up to it too. Why, you may ask? Well, you’ll benefit from it. You’ll make money from your direct referrals, and you’ll make money for their referrals and their referrals, etc, up to a total of 5 levels! Which, could make you quite a lot of money (if they actually surf around ๐Ÿ˜› ).

ย Now, the Viewbar. It actually isn’t out yet, but it’s supposed to be released within days. You’ll install the bar and it’ll go into your browser (sorta ๐Ÿ˜› ). You’ll log into it, and start your surfing. The bar will display ads and you’ll make money.

You can make money for up to 5 hours a month.

You can also make money from your referral’s surfing (25%), up to the amount of hours you have surfed, or up to the amount of hours they surfed (if you surfed more then them). So, if they surfed the maximum 5 hours (and you surfed 5 hours), you would get 1.25 hours of credit for it. But, if they surfed for 5 hours, and you only surfed for 4 hours, you would only get the 25% for 4 hours.

This program is basically a no-brainer. Get paid for having the Viewbar enabled and logged in and surfing around (as you probably do anyways ๐Ÿ˜› ).

So, go check it out!

Update: AGLOCO no longer exists, so the links in this post have been removed. This post is kept here for archival purposes.

WordPress Admin Menu Mouseover Idea

Sunday, April 29th, 2007

WordPress

I’ve submitted an Idea over at WordPress.org to change the menus a bit in the Admin Panel.

Basically, it says that the Menus should get some AJAXish goodness. So that when you would hover over a Primary Menu Item the Secondary Menu Items would scroll down on the Secondary Menu Bar replacing the current ones. So, that you’d be able to go straight to one of the pages associated under that Primary Item. Without the need to click on the Primary Item first. Then, when you move your mouse away from the Menu Bars, the Items would scroll back up to reveal the current Items.

If you think this is a good idea, then go Rate the Idea, please. ๐Ÿ˜€ Thanks.

Idea to Change the Secondary Menu Items on a Primary Menu Item Mouseover

PageRank Update

Saturday, April 28th, 2007

It appears that Google is doing a PageRank update. This tool says that on 23 of Google’s servers, I have a PageRank of 4. The rest ofย Google’s servers should be updated with the new PageRank in a couple of days, hopefully.

That’s a pretty big jump, from 0 to 4 in the 4 months I’ve had this Blog up and running. ๐Ÿ˜€

Maybe now that I’m getting a higher PageRank, I’ll get accepted into sites like Text Link Ads and ReviewMe.

BlueFur Phish Phinder

Thursday, April 26th, 2007

BlueFur Phish Phinder has been released! Phish Phinder is an Outlook Plugin to reveal the URL on Links in messages. So, all links have the URL of them in brackets to the right of them. So, the point of it is, is you received a legit looking email, you’d be able to quickly see if it’s a fake or it’s the real deal. Useful for all those fake Paypal emails going around.

Here’s a screenshot of what it would look like:

BlueFur Phish Phinder Screenshot

So, it would essentially look like this:

Go to Matt’s Blogย (http://mattsblog.ca/)!

It also supports a Whitelist. So, you can go and edit a file and add email addresses you trust, so that emails from them won’t have the URLs beside the Links. One downside of the Plugin is that it can break the layout of emails/Newsletters, so the Whitelist is a great feature.

The Plugin works on Outlook 2000, 2003 and 2007 (I tested it in Beta stages with Outlook 2007 and Vista), and works on both POP3 and IMAP.

It’s also good to note that this will not apply to out going emails, it only applies when viewing your messages.

Phish Phinder will be free for everyone for 6 Months, and after that BlueFur will consider charging a nominal fee for non-BlueFur customers.

So, if you use Outlook, and you getย a lot of SPAM (who doesn’t ๐Ÿ˜› ), and you’re worried about Phishing, check out the Phish Phinder Plugin for Outlook.
