:-) and :-( (Smileys/Emoticons) Turn 25

Scott Fahlman is credited for coming up with the idea of “smileys” or “emoticons”. On September 19, 1982, he sent an email with the idea, which said this:
So, Happy 25th Birthday, smileys/emoticons! 😀 (or rather :-) )
