Man, I just bought a Blackberry Curve on Rogers. I can’t be bothered waiting for this sucker. I just got a BB Pearl in October and got the Curve yesterday. That cost me $508 w/tax. How much is this sucker going to be?

More importantly, here is what is going to happen with Rogers and consumers = WAR.or PEACE

WAR: Data on Rogers is overpriced and EXPENSIVE as all hell. iPhones are going to use WAY for data that BB’s and the pricing structure is going to be outrageous.

PEACE: Roger’s shitft the bandwitch plans and give more for the price. I doubt it. There is a bandwidth petition going around on this, see here: http://www.petitiononline.com/iPhone99/petition.html

I don’t think that’s why Rogers/Canada is getting it. Apple is expanding where the iPhone is available, and the next logical place after the US would be Canada, since we’re neighbors, and use much of the same technology. So it’s easy to bring the iPhone to Canada, and it’s a good idea.

I doubt the Canada model will be much different than the US model… Hey, maybe they’ll release a 3G Quad Band GSM model here, first. Or, maybe a limited edition red iPhone.

I’m a Cingular customer (now AT&T) and travel to see friends in Canada.

My first visit up there with my Cingular phone I found out that Rogers has roaming agreements with Cingular for Canada coverage, so this is probably why they are getting the iPhone as well.

I had a chance to test the iPhone out the past few days for a review and it’s pretty sexy, however there is going to be major software updates between now and June 29th when it’s released here in the US.

I wonder if the Canadian release will be much different software wise from the US model?
